Azure - Windows 7 Same Ballgame?
Microsoft's new OS is expected to be released by the end of next year Windows 7 also known as Azure. The true question is whether the consumer will make it fly or will it flop.
With all the problems consumers seemed to have had with Vista, will the average consumer be willing to take a chance on Microsoft and try another windows system? Although the new version will have many new features like support for virtual hard drives, new graphics elements, storage improvements, simplified device installation, multi touch capability, a new task bar, and an overhauled version of the User Account Control security system as well as new developer APIs.
One can only wonder why Microsoft hasn't just come out with a Vista B addressing all the problems. Instead of trying to fool the public with ads on TV changing the name in the ad to Mohave to show the average consumer things they didn't know about Vista. With the war between Mac and Microsoft so apparent on television, I cant help but wonder why didn't Microsoft spend its money on fixing the problem instead of hiring Jerry Seinfeld to do its commercials. Although they are entertaining and comical at times I don't find it so funny when consumers and myself have spent our hard earned money on a product that doesn't work properly and gives everyone headache’s.
Whether the new version will satisfy the consumer in terms of usability and performance remains to be seen, Even though sales of Vista are still doing well with the commercial industry personal sales have come to a stand still and one can't help but wonder if Microsoft will address these problems, or just run with the new windows 7 and hope everyone will forget the problems at hand.
I can only hope that someone at Microsoft will address and fix these problems and rejuvenate our faith in Microsoft after all the millions of dollars the average consumer has helped the company make in the past 3 decades while users constantly beta test till the next beta test. Is it just me that fells this way?
