I recently purchased a new Laptop computer and there is a web-cam built into the screen. Well I got to wondering if someone could break in and see me whenever they wanted. Truth is, hackers can access your webcam just like any other part of your computer. It is always a good Idea to keep your web-cams and mics turned off when you are not using them.

However, the hacker could still get in if they wanted to. Of course you want to make sure your virus software is up to date, that would help prevent attacks. Personally, I keep a piece of paper over my webcam so it is not looking at me anymore. I will need to check to see if there is a built in mic or not. Maybe I am just paranoid….but you never know.
